Colombia Finca Anaya – Mount Fragola
Colombia Finca Anaya – Mount Fragola
Good for you if: you love fruit-bomb Colombians with playful, experimental fermentation—sweet, juicy, and expressive rather than safe and chocolate‑only.
Mount Fragola comes from Finca Anaya in Acevedo, Huila, a small family farm run by the Aranda Gómez family that focuses heavily on fermentation design. Cherries from high-grown plots around 1,600–1,700 MASL are hand‑picked at full ripeness, then moved into an extended mossto/yeast‑inoculated fermentation before washing, to push strawberry‑and‑berry candy character while keeping the cup clean and structured.
In the cup, expect strawberry, raspberry, cherry candy and florals, wrapped in syrupy sweetness and a lively but not aggressive acidity. As filter it shows layers of red fruit and sweetness; as modern espresso it becomes a dense, dessert‑like shot for those who enjoy wild, expressive profiles.
